We are EcoArt Studio.

EcoArt Studio is workshop and art studio startup, located in Chernovtsy, Ukraine in the region of Bukovina.

Our mission is to educate the people of Ukraine about recycling. How do we do this? By creating art from plastic. We want to prove that plastic can be recycled and converted into something useful. We want to change perceptions and attitude towards recycling. We want Ukraine to integrate recycling into their daily lives.

What's even more exciting, is that there are many people in Ukraine open to our philosophy. People want to recycle, but have no venues to do so. EcoArt Studio aims to change this, by providing that venue.

The EcoArt Studio startup was started in 2016 by Andrii Tesliuk-Puiu in response to the catastrophic environmental situation across Ukraine. With hundreds of tons of plastic littered ruining our beautiful landscapes, it really is a shame to see it all polluted.

Workspaces

SPACE: RETAIL GALLERY

EcoArt Studio's start up plan entails housing its first location in a retail apartment complex, located on the ground floor. EcoArt Studio will feature a retail outlet section on the ground floor of the building.

SPACE: WORKSHOP

EcoArt Studio needs space to store and process all its raw materials. This will take place in a lower level. A camera will broadcast all the work in process for visitors to observe. A woodshop will house equipment for making furniture or other wood items.

COLLECTION

Based on current existing Ukrainian laws, regulations and so forth, recyclable materials or any item considered to be waste, remains individual property, until disposed of into a government controlled asset, such as a municipal waste bin. To avoid any legal issues, EcoArt Studio will be purchasing recyclable materials directly from an individual customer. Customers will have several options:

Direct Deposit - A customer will bring the recyclable materials directly to EcoArt Studio's physical location.

Subscription Service (RPCP Program) - A customer will register for our RPCP Program. This will require them to purchase a custom set of recycle bins and a recycle bin housing system from EcoArt Studio.

Vending Machines - The widespread installation of RVMs in the region will increase the amount of raw materials collected for processing. People will be able to deposit plastic as they go.

SORTING

EcoArt Studio will sort its plastics because different plastic types have different melting temperatures and properties. An efficient sorting system is essential to avoid mixing plastics.

SHREDDING

EcoArt Studio will utilize its shredding machine to chop plastic objects into small flakes, making it easier to store, melt and process later.

STORAGE

EcoArt Studio will label and store its processed plastic to avoid cross-contamination. This will also facilitate an evolution of colors that can be applied to create unique works of art.

3D PRINTING

EcoArt Studio will use the latest in 3D printing technology to create products from its plastic reserves.

DISPLAY & SELL

Once products are ready, they will be photographed and displayed in our retail gallery for purchase.

Machines

EcoArt Studio will employ compact, industrious machines to process all the recyclable materials it collects.

EcoArt Studio's machines will consist of but not be limited to the following:

SHREDDER MACHINE

Plastic waste is shredded into flakes which will be used in the other machines to create new things. You can select the output size of these flakes by changing the sieve inside the machine to create different patterns and processes.

EXTRUSION MACHINE

Extrusion is a continuous process where plastic flakes are inserted into the hopper and extruded into a line of plastic. These lines can be used to make new raw materials such as 3d printing filament, make granulated plastic, spun around a mold, or used in your own new and creative ways.

COMPRESSION MACHINE

Plastic is heated inside the oven and slowly pressed into a mold with a carjack. Well suited for making large and more solid objects, the oven itself is also a great machine for prototyping and making plastic tests with.

3D PRINTER

Processed plastic will be fed into our 3D printer to create one-of-a-kind items. Our 3D printer will be capable of dual extrusion, will be able to make snaps, living hinges, threaded objects and more with a ductile, petroleum thermoplastic with elastic deformation properties. It will have control heating and cooling and 100-Micron Layer Resolution.

Liven up your home with colourful, handy and iconic objects from recycled plastic. EcoArt Studio will make a variety of items that can accentuate your living space. We will make items not only from plastic, but also wood!

High Precision

EcoArt Studio also takes it to the next level. We will create super precise and detailed moulds to make highly professional products for our customers.

Founder

Andrii has wide-encompassing work experience in various spheres. Starting from the age of 14 Andrii started out as a shoe-shiner at JFK airport. Since then, Andrii has never looked back and achieved professional milestones in management, accounting and government service. For Andrii, the philosophy is to keep moving forward and make the world a better, environmentally conscious place.

Studio

EcoArt Studio plans to house its first workshop studio location in a retail apartment complex, located on the ground floor. Currently, there are many new apartment buildings being built or have already been open. EcoArt Studio will rent a retail space on the ground floor. An example is an apartment complex being built here by BITIDI GROUP (http://zoryaniy.com.ua/) and features a retail outlet section on the ground floor of the building.

EcoArt Studio will base its retail studio store in one of these retail spaces. The retail space will feature various items for sale, all of which will be produced using recyclable materials purchased/collected by EcoArt Studio.

EcoArt Studio will contain a workshop area where the processing of all recyclable materials will take place. This workshop will contain various equipment for refining all recyclable material into raw products which can be further processed into retail goods.

App

EcoArt Studio has started development on a custom application that will allow our customers to recycle without a second thought. We know that recycling can be inconvnient. But, we believe the key to everything is simplicity.

The mobile application will facilitate EcoArt Studio's business model, by making it convenient for customers to dispose of their recyclable waste. Currently, recycling in Ukraine, in general, is an area far from grounded in convenience. There are rarely any separate bins for waste. Garbage collection clumps all types of waste together. Sorting procedures are non-existent or poorly implemented, which impacts overall productivity.

EcoArt Studio aims to make recycling simple, straightforward, easy-to-understand and most importantly convenient for its customers. How? By providing a convenient means for sorting and disposal of recyclable materials. Direct proximity to the customers, via a physical location in an apartment building ground floor, ensure that a customer needs only to follow a minimum number of steps to recycle.
